'Sputnik Gang' member nabbed for possession of gun, shabu in Pasay City

A member of the notorious "Sputnik Gang' was arrested by operatives of the Pasay City Police Maricaban substation for possession of gun and shabu on Wednesday, Jan. 24.
The Southern Police District (SPD) said the suspect identified as alias Mar, 32, was arrested at around 1:45 a.m. on St. Claire St. in Maricaban, Pasay City.
Pasay City police chief Col. Mario Mayames said members of the Maricaban police substation responded to a call from a concerned citizen about an armed man clad in a black sweater and blue jogging pants roaming around the area.
Mayames said the police immediately arrested Mar after finding him carrying a revolver with two live 9mm bullets and 14 heat-sealed shabu with an estimated weight of 7.64 grams worth P51,952.
The suspect was brought to the police custodial facility and was charged with illegal possession of firearm and drugs.
