Two drug suspects were arrested by members of the Pasay City police Maricaban substation on Monday, Jan. 22.
Col. Mario Mayames, Pasay City police chief, identified the suspects as alias Jomarie, 24, an E-bike driver; and Jaymie, 28, both residents of Maricaban, Pasay City.
Mayames said the suspects were arrested at around 7:10 p.m. at the corner of Saint Claire and Bernadeth Streets, Barangay 178, Zone 9, Maricaban, Pasay City.
He said members of the Maricaban police substation responded to the call of a concerned citizen on the illegal drug activity of the suspects.
The city police chief said confiscated from the suspects were 44 plastic sachets with about 33.13 grams of shabu worth P225,284.
Mayames said the suspects were immediately brought to the police custodial facility.
Charges for violation of the Dangerous Drugs Act were filed against them.
The city police chief said the arrest of the suspects and the confiscation of illegal drugs were a result of the cooperation of concerned citizens with the police.
Mayames encouraged the public to continue to report any suspicious activities to help the police keeping the city drugs-free.
