11 nabbed, P108,000 shabu seized in Bulacan


The Bulacan police carried out intensified police operations that resulted in the confiscation of illegal drugs worth P108,000 and the apprehension of 11 suspects on  Tuesday and Wednesday, Jan. 23 and 24. 

Col. Relly B. Arnedo, Bulacan police director, said a drug buy-bust operation was conducted by the Meycauayan City police in Barangay Lawa which led to the arrest of two drug suspects.

The suspects were identified as alias "Charlie," from Bagong Baryo, Caloocan City, and allias "Arman," of Barangay Bancal, Meycauayan City.

The apprehension yielded four sachets of alleged shabu valued at about P34,516 along with the marked money.

Moreover, a series of anti-illegal drug operations conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) operatives from Obando, Plaridel, City of San Jose Del Monte, Sta. Maria and Malolos City police led to the arrest of nine more individuals involved in the illicit drug trade.

Confiscated by the police were a total of 36 sachets of suspected shabu valued at P73,712, and the buy-bust money.

The arrested suspects and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit (PFU) for appropriate examination. Criminal complaints for violations of Republic Act 9165 against the suspects have been prepared for filing in court.
