ILOILO CITY – Suspected shabu valued at P3.4 million was seized from three drug pushers in a buy-bust operation here on Sunday, January 22, days before the highlight of this year’s Dinagyang Festival.

The Iloilo City Police Office-City Drug Enforcement Unit identified the suspects as Rexston Amoroso, Ricsie Biclar, and Joel Abada, who yielded around 500 grams of shabu.
Police Col. Joeresty Coronica, ICPO director, said this was the latest haul in what is believed to be supply intended for revelers of the Dinagyang Festival from January 26 to 28.
The suspects listed as high-valued individuals are facing charges of violating Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Drugs Act of 2002.
Police Brig. Gen. Sidney Villafor, Police Regional Office-6 chief, lauded operating units for arresting the suspects.
THE ICPO-CDEU was backed by PRO-6 Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU), ICPO-Station 1, ICPO-Station 4, ICPO-Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT), and PRO-6 Regional Maritime Unit (RMU).
