In celebration of Sinulog 2024, International Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (IPI) proudly showcases “kaitiakitanga,” the sacred duty of guardianship and stewardship for the environment. The company emphasizes the vital role of preserving land, water, and natural resources for the well-being of future generations, promoting sustainability, and fostering a profound connection to nature.

IPI’s float narrates a story where the Swan Queen represents wind and air, symbolizing grace and beauty amidst challenges and pressure. With her aloft, church leaders are aboard a modernized vintage sea craft, symbolizing the arrival of Christianity in the Philippines. This is notably marked by the fully guarded Magellan's Old Ship and the iconic Magellan's Cross, which has protected our homeland for more than 500 years, introducing the Holy Child to our beloved city of Cebu.

At the forefront of the float stands modern Amphitrite, the goddess of the sea, cradling the revered Señor Sto Niño. In harmony with nature, like the giant Swan Queen in the air, the Sea Queen represented by the beautiful mermaid protects underwater life, along with church leaders who advocate environmental stewardship, further emphasizing peace, unity, and progress.

During the grand Sinulog celebration, IPI’s main float carries a simple yet crucial message: Let us cultivate a conscientious mindset in our decisions, value the well-being of others, and show genuine care for both human needs and environmental concerns. By doing so, disasters like landslides and flooding can be proactively prevented, securing lives, properties, and livelihoods. This collective effort ensures a safer and more harmonious future for all.
