They were spotted inside the resort at 2 a.m., surprising some guests and staff, and were secured in a tub with seawater.

The city government was informed of this discovery.

According to Bantay Dagat coordinator Edsel Toledo, the sea turtle hatchlings are attracted to the first light they see and this probably prompted them to go the resort.

In a Facebook post by the city government, Toledo informed the resort staff and guests about the importance of the sea turtles in the ecosystem.

He said that the presence of sea turtles indicates a healthy and clean environment.
