Wanted person apprehended in Talisay City

BACOLOD CITY – Police arrested the fourth most wanted person in Los Baños, Laguna in Sitio Mambucano, Barangay Cabatangan, Talisay City, Negros Occidental on Friday, January 19.

The Philippine National Police-Anti-Kidnapping Group-Visayas Field Unit (AKG-VFU) identified the suspect as Romeo, 61, farmer, of Zapote Road, Almanza Uno, Las Piñas City.

The warrant of arrest dated March 11, 2022, was issued by Assisting Judge Rene Deveza Natividad of the Regional Trial Court Branch 107 in Los Baños. No bail was recommended for the suspect's temporary freedom.

The Police Regional Office (PRO)-Western Visayas said the suspect was apprehended under Coplan Romeo approved on January 11.

Suspect was arrested by the Talisay City Police Station, Los Baños Police Station, and 1st Negros Occidental Provincial Mobile Force Company (Nocpmfc).

Police Brig. Gen. Sidney Villaflor, PRO-Western Visayas director, said that the suspect’s arrest is proof that the police diligently seek those accountable for their actions, no matter where they hide. “This way they would be able to bring justice to the victims of criminality,” he added.

Villaflor commended police personnel involved in the operation and emphasized the commitment to pursuing law offenders to ensure justice for the victims of crime.
