The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) has launched the "Project Green Camp Karingal" to uphold environmental laws on Monday, Jan. 22, at the QCPD Grandstand in Quezon City.

The initiative is part of the Philippine National Police's (PNP's) core value, "Makalikasan," QCPD said.
The Project Green Camp Karingal is in line with Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte's environmental advocacy and is committed to upholding environmental laws protecting the planet.

Among the activities under the project is the implementiation of solid waste segregation and management practices and embracing the Reuse, Reduce, and Recycle (3Rs) concept.
In addition, the project enforces "No Plastic and No Styro Policies," initiates urban farming and gardening, constructs rainwater catchers, and utilizes solar panels and energy-saving lights.
Moreover, it highlighted the unwavering dedication of QCPD personnel in actively participating in urban farming or gardening.
Furthermore, the QCPD, along with the LGU, expressed their readiness to make progress in promoting sustainability, environmental responsibility, and the comprehensive well-being of the residents.
