In the event titled "MAGHANDA: Communicating Hazards, Risks, and Early Warning for Policymakers," Phivolcs Science Research Specialist and Geologist Daniel Buhay discussed one of the tools called REDAS (Rapid Earthquake Damage Assessment System Software) that is available on Windows Software.

Buhay said the tool can be used for hazard assessment on earthquakes, a database on elements at risk, and for estimation of damages to properties.

Moreover, he said another tool was the "How Safe is My House?" a downloadable application that can evaluate the integrity or vulnerability of a one to two-story house made with concrete hollow blocks, residences with small shops, offices, and garages, among others.

In addition, Buhay said Phivolcs has also developed "Fault Finder" an application that can determine how far one's location from the active fault is, which can be downloaded or can be accessed through faultfinder.phivolcs.dost.gov.ph/
