Las Piñas City Mayor Imelda Aguilar gave her full support to the LGBTQIA+ community during the group’s oath taking ceremony on Jan 18.
Aguilar gave her support to the newly elected officers of the Hope in Rainbow Alliance for Young and Adults (Hiraya) who took their oath of office before her and Vice-Mayor April Aguilar held at the Mayor’s Office.
She said the oath-taking of the newly-elected officers of Hiraya, led by Arnold Pante, advocates for the rights and welfare of members of the LGBTQIA+ community in the city, thus, fostering a more inclusive environment for both young and adult members

The mayor highlighted the city's ongoing efforts to support the LGBTQIA+ community, emphasizing the importance of such organizations in promoting equality in society.
Vice-Mayor Aguilar echoed these sentiments and expressed pride in the city's progressive stance on inclusivity and diversity.
Aguilar said the event serves as a reminder of the strides the city has made in fostering an environment of equality and respect, regardless of gender identity and sexual orientation.
