How we dress today can be categorized into various “core,” many of which are born in social media platform Tiktok. After our Barbiecore era, the quiet luxury look, and soft girl aesthetic enter a style chapter that is the Mob Wife trend.

Celebrities like Dua Lipa and Kendall Jenner were seen donning the trend, while many users on Tiktok are dissecting it. The latest to present an interpretation of the Mob Wife trend is our very own style darling, Heart Evangelista.

Heart is back in France to witness the latest collections of designers and luxury brands for Paris Fashion Week. During Hermès’ men’s winter 2024 collection, Heart wore the trend by pairing her wide-leg pants with an oversized coat. To complete the look, she donned sunglasses from YSL and her newly-painted Hermès.

The Mod Wife trend started circulating on Tiktok late last year as the winter season was about to begin in the US Unlike the previous Clean Girl aesthetic, the Mob Wife is all about embracing glamor through statement coats, animal prints, delicious jewelry, diva sunglasses, and retro tresses. Think of the women in “The Sopranos” and “The Godfather.” As for this author, the best style inspiration for the Mob Wife trend can be seen on the 2021 film “House of Gucci.” Lady Gaga as Patrizia Reggiani served regal ensembles with major bling and killer beauty looks.
