Cops net 2 drug pushers, P500,000 shabu in Nueva Ecija

CABIAO, Nueva Ecija – Police arrested two suspected drug pushers and seized shabu worth P500,000 in a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Fernando Sur here on Monday, January 22.

The suspects were identified as John, 36, of Barangay San Lorenzo, Gapan City, Nueva Ecija, and his sister-in-law, Julie, 44, of Barangay San Vicente, Gapan City.

Police said they conducted a series of casing and surveillance activities against the suspects prior to their arrest.

They were apprehended after a police poseur-buyer purchased one heat-sealed, transparent plastic sachet containing about .40 grams of suspected shabu.

Police consider the suspects high-value individuals for their ability to sell large volume of illegal drugs.

Seized from them were 70.40 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P478,720 and the P2,500 buy-bust money.

Suspects are under the custody of the Cabiao police and face drug-related charges.
