Businessman arrested for carnapping in Taguig

A businessman, who is facing a case of carnapping, was arrested by the police in Taguig on Jan. 22.

The suspect, identified only alias June, 57, was arrested by the Makati and Parañaque Police operatives in Barangay East Rembo, Taguig. June is listed as Makati Police’s No. 5 most wanted person.

He was nabbed based on a warrant of arrest for violation of Republic Act 10883 (New Anti Carnapping Act of 2016) issued by Presiding Judge Jonathan Honorato of the Makati Regional Trial Court Branch 61 on Dec. 18.

The court recommended a bail of P180,000.
