A total of five families or 24 people were affected by a fire in an EMBO (enlisted men’s barrio) barangay in Taguig on Jan. 20.
According to the Taguig City Fire Station, the fire started from a house on Santan Street in Barangay Pembo at about 9:50 p.m.

The first alarm was raised at 9:52 p.m. Three houses were affected by the fire, which destroyed P625,000 worth of properties.
Investigators said the fire started from a room and its cause is under investigation.
The fire was put under control at 10:11 p.m. before it was put out at 20:25 p.m.
A total of 11 fire trucks and four ambulances responded to the incident.
