The team made the announcement over the weekend, welcoming the 5-foot-9 outside hitter to the squad that is already boasting of recruits Myla Pablo and Mich Morente.

“An Angel sent from heaven has arrived to refuel our journey! We’re thrilled to have you here, Brooke Van Sickle!” the team posted on social media.

Based in Hawaii, the former NCAA Division I player last played for the Cypriot volleyball club AEL Limassol.

She suited up for Oregon University in her collegiate career before transferring to the University of Hawaii to pursue beach volleyball, nabbing multiple individual awards including Most Valuable Player, Best Scorer, 2021 Big West Player of the Year and a member of the AVCA All-American for two years.

After a runner-up finish in the First All-Filipino Conference early last year, the Angels stumbled to ninth place in the Invitationals and then went on to finish sixth in the Second All-Filipino Conference that concluded last December.

The team seeks a third title after winning the 2019 and 2022 Reinforced Conference.
