3 dead,1 hurt in Bulacan shootout


Two men and a barangay tanod were killed, while a bystander was also wounded in a shooting incident in the province of Bulacan on Saturday evening, Jan. 20.

In a report submitted to Col. Relly B. Arnedo, Bulacan police director, Meycauayan City police promptly responded to the Bahay Pare Barangay Hall upon receiving a report regarding two men firing indiscriminately in the area at about 8:12 pm.

Upon the arrival of the responding team, the two suspects fired shots towards them which resulted in a shootout


The incident led to in the deat of the two suspects, who were both armed with a caliber .45 firearm. 

There were no casualties on the part of the police personnel. 

Police said that a village watchman was also hit and killed by the suspects while a bystander was wounded and was rushed to the nearest hospital for treatment.

The incident is still under investigation, police said.

Meanwhile, another man was arrested by Norzagaray police upon receiving a telephone call from a concerned citizen about a man reportedly firing his firearm while shouting, causing fear in the neigborhood kn the area.  

Police said the arrested suspect is an 18-year-old man from Brgy. Bagong Pagasa, Quezon City. 

Confiscated from the suspect were cal. 38 Armscor  loaded with one live and one fired cartridge case.

An appropriate criminal complaint is being prepared for filing against the arrested suspect.
