Partly cloudy weather with light rains to be expected over PH
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Saturday, Jan. 20, said partly cloudy weather conditions with chances of light rains will be felt over the country in the next 24 hours.

In PAGASA's latest live broadcast, weather specialist Daniel James Villamil said occurrences of rains will be lessened in huge part of the country particularly in Mindanao area due to the "weakening" effects of the shear line---a weather system where the cold northeasterly winds and warm easterlies converge.
Meanwhile, Villamil added that the northeast monsoon or "amihan," which only prevails in northern Luzon also weakened.
PAGASA said Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Cagayan Valley will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains caused by the northeast monsoon.
Moreover, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will also have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers caused by the localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA warned of flash floods or landslides that may occur during severe thunderstorms.
