Caritas Manila, the social action arm of the Archdiocese of Manila, plans to intensify its programs for the poor and the underprivileged this year, as the agency expressed its gratitude to all of its donors and supporters.

Fr. Anton Pascual, executive director of Caritas Manila and Radio Veritas president said, Caritas Manila will continue with its programs in 2024 to help uplift the lives of the marginalized through the assistance provided by its donors, benefactors and partner agencies.
“We would like to thank all our supporters for their donations and pledges. We hope to be able to help more people feel the love of our Lord. And may God bless our donors and supporters a hundredfold for their generosity,” Fr. Pascual said over Radio Veritas.
The Church leader enjoined the faithful to continue to support the programs of Caritas Manila which it hopes to expand to be able to feed more people who are suffering from hunger, send more children to school and provide livelihood to the needy in different parts of the country.
From 2020 to 2021, Caritas Manila was able to generate and provide more than Php 2 billion to help those who were badly affected by the pandemic.
In 2022, Caritas Manila provided more than Php 111 million to fund the education of the scholars under its Youth Servant Leadership and Education Program or YSLEP. It was also able to provide assistance to more than 30,000 families who were affected by the calamities in the country.
