Ara Galang greeted the new year in a new home after signing with the Chery Tiggo Crossovers ahead of the 2024 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) season, the team announced on Tuesday, Jan. 2.
The 28-year-old spiker is seeking new challenges and experiences with a new squad for the first time in seven years.

Galang has been part of the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers since 2016 before they disbanded shortly after their campaign in the season-ending conference last month.
“VSG’s next chapter. The CHERY fam is thrilled to be part of your newest adventure! Welcome to the CHERY Tiggo Crossovers, Ara Galang,” the post said.
The 5-foot-7 outside hitter is the third former Cargo Mover to be announced by their new team following Dawn Macandili-Catindig and Ivy Lacsina’s signing with the Cignal HD Spikers and Nxled, respectively.
"I'm very thankful because there is an opportunity like this to play for Chery, and I'm super excited because it's the first time I'll be with different teammates, so I joined a team where I don't know many people," she said.
"The only ones I know are Buding (Duremdes) and Ate Mylene Paat. I'm excited to work with and play with the younger players."
The now disbanded F2 Logistics finished fourth in the recently concluded season, while Chery Tiggo contended for the bronze medal against eventual winner Cignal.
PVL is set to kick off the new season on Feb. 17 with another All-Filipino Conference.
