2 dead, 20 hurt in Nueva Vizcaya road collision

ARITAO, Nueva Vizcaya – Two persons were killed and 20 were injured in a collision between a commuter van and closed van in Purok 4, Barangay Nagcuartelan, here, on Tuesday, January 2.

Police identified the victims as Ciriaco, driver of the closed van, and Maximo, commuter van passenger.

Investigation said that the northbound commuter van with license plates BAA-3915 driven by Darwin encroached on the opposite lane and collided with the closed van driven by Ciriaco of Dupax del Sur, Nueva Vizcaya.

Police said drivers and passengers of the two vehicles sustained serious injuries and were taken to the hospital in Bambang.
