This forthcoming series dives deep into French fashion during World War II

Titled “The New Look,” the historical drama series explores the life of fashion industry legend Christian Dior

This kind of media exposes the life of some of the industry’s giants, from their early beginnings and triumphs to the drama that followed their success. It also provides a multitude of inspiration for budding creatives who want to dip their toes on the exciting, yet very challenging, world of design.

This year, another series centered on an industry legend is about to hit the streaming realm. Recently, Apple TV+ unveiled the trailer for its upcoming series, chronicling the life of French design master Christian Dior. Dubbed “The New Look,” the show is set in Paris during the World War II and details how the “city led the world back to life through its fashion icon Christian Dior.”

Apart from Monsieur Dior, the series will also feature his contemporaries like Coco Chanel, Pierre Balmain, and Cristóbal Balenciaga, among others, and their stories inspired by true events. The show is also set to present Dior's iconic designs through collaboration with the House of Dior.

“The New Look” is created and produced by Todd A. Kessler. While its cast is led by actors Ben Mendelsohn, Juliette Binoche, Maisie Williams, and Glenn Close, as Christian Dior, Coco Chanel, Catherine Dior, magazine editor Carmel Snow, respectively.

It is set to premiere on the platform on Feb. 14 with the release of its first three episode. Watch its full trailer below:
