P3PWD Party-list nominee Rowena Guanzon has begun a personal boycott on Starbucks Coffee and is back to patronizing Dunkin Donuts.
The outspoken Guanzon announced this in an X post Friday, Jan. 19, where she also expressed her disdain for Starbucks over a local controversy that the international brand had been embroiled in.
"I'm back to Dunkin Donuts coffee because Starbucks hindi nag co comply sa batas ng 20% dscount & zero VAT for seniors at PWD," she wrote.
(Starbucks hasn't been complying with the 20 percent discount and zero value-added tax for seniors and persons with disabilities.)
"Insulto yong limit your purchase to 1 drink and 1 food. If gusto ko pa pasta wala na discount ang pasta," noted Guanzon.

(It's an insult to be told to limit your purchase have to one drink and one food. If I want more pasta then there's no more discount for the pasta.)
The obviously upset former Commission on Elections (Comelec) commissioner subsequently underscored: "Starbucks, u probably committd a crime."
Albay 2nd district Rep. Joey Salceda said such sentiment during a House probe on the controversy last Jan. 16. As such, he prodded the chain to give away "free coffee and croissants" for senior citizens and PWD customers as a form of "penance".
The Starbucks representative who attended the hearing just laughed at the suggestion.
