Ex-rebel surrenders in Nueva Ecija

CABANATUAN CITY, Nueva Ecija – A former communist rebel surrendered to the police on Thursday, January 18, in San Jose City, Nueva Ecija.

KA Allan, the NPA surrenderer.

Police and the 84th Infantry Battalion of the 7th Infantry Division conducted a special intelligence operation that resulted in the surrender of Ka Allan, 52, of San Jose City.

Ka Allan was a member of the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army-National Democratic Front under Arnel Calosa operating in San Jose City, Carranglan, Talugtog, and Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija between 1985 and 1989.

Ka Allan is now undergoing debriefing with the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company.

He surrendered a caliber .38 revolver with bullets.

Meanwhile, police recovered high explosives in Barangay Santa Monica, Aliaga, Nueva Ecija, after a former “Dado,” a former communist rebel, surrendered on January 11. These war materials are set for disposal.
