Driver killed as truck rams dump truck in Quezon

NASUGBU, Batangas – A driver was killed after his truck rammed a dump truck parked on the roadside in Barangay Kaylaway here on Thursday morning, January 18.

Police identified the victim as Roland Valdoz, 52, of Barangay Banilad, this town. 

Investigation said Valdoz was driving a Mitsubishi Fuso truck with license plates TEU-554 when it suddenly crashed into the rear of the Sinotruk Howo dump truck driven by Marlon Brondo, 37, parked on the roadside due to a mechanical problem although a warning sign was placed on the road.

Valdoz died on the spot due to fatal injuries.

Police said the incident is up for a possible settlement.
