The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) and the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to include the regulatory body on the e-Gov Super App.

DICT Secretary Ivan John Uy expressed his gratitude to the PRC for its commitment to digitalization.
"Today, we further solidify our commitment to quality public service through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the PRC for collaborative ICT efforts," Uy said during the ceremonial signing on Jan. 18.
"As we continue to improve our services and processes with our harmonized initiatives, we hope to raise further the confidence of the Filipino people in the government," he added.
More partnerships
Moreover, Uy emphasized the agency's partnership with 43 government agencies and local government units "to enable interoperability and eliminate silos in the government's ICT initiatives."
"Today's signing makes the PRC the 44th government agency, and I believe the first for this year, that has joined hands with us in the DICT to accelerate digitalization in their respective systems and processes, in this case to deliver service excellence in the issuance of regulations and licenses to the country's various professions and occupations," he said.
"We hope that other agencies will follow suit, to bring true meaning to a government that is faster, more efficient, and more relevant in the delivery of its services," he added.
As of Jan. 9, DICT reported that there are 1 million users and has generated approximately 3.5 million digital IDs through the use of GSIS and PhilHealth services.
"Additionally, it is important to highlight that 48 million accessible digital IDs/ data out of 85 million records have already been validated with data from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)," Uy pointed out.
"Aside from the eGovPH app, we have launched other initiatives aimed at bringing public service closer to the Filipino people, which include eGovPay, eLGU, eVisa, and eTravel," he added.
PRC Chairperson Charito Zamora and Uy officially signed the MOU during the event.
Also present during the MOU signing were DICT Undersecretary David Almirol Jr. and PRC ICT Service Director Gina Consignado.
