BAGUIO CITY – Police arrested 15 wanted persons during a two-week manhunt operation in the Cordillera region.
One of them was a 65-year-old rape suspect in this city.
The suspect was nabbed on January 11 by the Baguio City Police Office Station 2 for three counts of rape.
He was tagged as the No. 1 most wanted person (MWP) on the regional and provincial levels by the Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Cordillera.
The BCPO Station 2 also arrested the No. 2 MWP on the regional level, a 57-year-old woman charged with estafa and violation of Presidential Decree 1920 (illegal recruitment) in Santa Barbara, Iba, Zambales, on January 15.
The CIDG-Abra Provincial Field Unit apprehended Aristotle Brigola, the No. 2 MWP on the provincial level for the first quarter of 2024, in Barangay Guimba, San Juan, Abra on January 14.
Twelve other wanted persons were caught by the CIDG in various parts of the Cordillera.
