Authorities said that a hatchback, wigo car, taxicab, and two trucks were involved in the accident.

The Manila Police District-Manila District Traffic Enforcement Unit (MPD-MDTEU) said that the injured driver of the hatchback car, which was stuck between the two trucks, was already assisted and brought to Ospital ng Maynila.

According to the initial investigation, the truck being driven by Ronald Maglaque was traveling along the southbound lane of Quirino Avenue.

When the truck reached a certain spot, particularly near Plaza Dilao, police said the driver suddenly realized that his vehicle's brake was not working, which resulted in a collision with other vehicles.

Authorities said that all vehicles involved incurred an inestimable amount of damages as of press time.

The accident caused heavy traffic in the area, according to Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Metro Base Charlie Nozares.

He advised motorists to avoid Quirino Avenue near Plaza Dilao.

Authorities are still investigating the incident.
