These officewear looks are invitations to explore the outdoors

For its fall-winter 2024 men’s collection, Prada emphasizes people's need to reconnect with nature

Office chic and the beauty of nature come together at Prada’s fall-winter 2024 men’s collection. Creative directors Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons create a setup that merges both elements through its glass runway over a bed of greenery. This echoes their goal for their latest showcase, which is to spotlight “a deep and essential human need to connect with the world around us.”

First to grace the runway are their suit ensembles jazzed up with colorful headwear that almost resembles knit bathing caps. Classic pieces, from turtleneck tops in different hues and chill knit cardigans to luxe coats, make their way to the runway.  The brand adds a dose of playfulness to its presentation through accessories. The most notable ones are its geometric belts, fishermen's sandals, and mariner style—the latter, a nod to the brand referencing the different forms of water like the sea, rain, and ice.

“I feel the need of being attached to something so basic for human nature, like the seasons, like outside. So that the clothes relate with the outside, with the weather, with reality,” Miuccia said in a report by AP News. “We wanted to talk about something relevant, because in these moments you cannot avoid to talk about subjects that are relevant. For instance, weather.’’
