Filipina conservationist Ann Dumaliang joins 54th World Economic Forum in Davos
Leading the intergenerational wisdom panel featuring esteemed wildlife conservationists who champion sustainability

With over 2,800 delegates from 120 countries, Filipina conservationist Ann Dumaliang from Masungi Georeserve Foundation Inc. (MGFI) is partaking in the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2024 held in Davos, Switzerland, from Jan. 15 to 19.
Focusing on critical areas such as climate action and landscape restoration, Dumaliang is to moderate the intergenerational wisdom panel featuring esteemed wildlife conservationists who champion sustainability.

“Frontline environmental defenders, particularly from the Philippines, possess indispensable insights for addressing the climate crisis,” Dumaliang says. “It's a privilege to share Masungi’s story with an international audience, sparking a wave of inspiration and catalyzing urgent action for ecosystem restoration across the globe.”
Masungi Georeserve, a part of the Sierra Madre Mountain Range, helped restore over 2,700 hectares of degraded watershed areas through the Masungi Geopark Project.
With the theme “Rebuilding Trust," WEF 2024 will showcase MGFI’s conservation projects on limestone formations in the Rizal Province, fostering partnerships to reinforce the global commitment to ecosystem restoration.
The annual meeting aims to drive dialogue and partnerships on climate and nature action, as well asseeks to "reimagine the cooperation necessary for pursuing rapid action that protects the climate and nature while securing energy."
