The Manila local government announced the opening of registrations for Kasalang Bayan 2024 slated on Feb. 14.

“A most awaited event on Valentine's Day for people in love,” the city government said.

The mass wedding is part of the Lingkod Manilenyo projects of Manila Vice Mayor John Marvin “Yul Servo” Nieto with the full support of Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan.

Nieto said it is also part of his birth month celebration.

The Kasalang Bayan will be held at the Paco Park in Manila.

In 2023, hundreds of couples availed and experienced the Kasalang Bayan, making them legally married couples.

An information and verification drive is currently being conducted in all six districts of Manila to encourage those who are qualified to join this mass wedding event.

The following documents will be required for couples who are interested in joining:

  • Birth Certificate from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), National Statistics Office (NSO), or Local Civil Registrar (LCR)
  • Certificate of no Marriage (CENOMAR, PSA copy)
  • Photocopy of a valid government identification card

For couples who are 18 to 24 years old, they must submit a marriage license from LCR.

Registrants can submit the requirements at the Central Office located at 1721 Quiricada Street corner Sulu Street Sta. Cruz, Manila until Feb. 2 at 5 p.m.
