A Chinese man who got involved in a vehicular accident was arrested by responding policemen in Parañaque City for illegal possession of a firearm on Tuesday, Jan. 16.
The Southern Police District (SPD) said the suspect identified as "Yiju" was nabbed at around 10:30 p.m. in Barangay Moonwalk, Parañaque City.
Prior to his arrest, police responded to the report of a village security guard about a vehicular accident in the area.
During their ocular inspection, the lawmen found a .9mm firearm at the passenger seat of the car driven by the suspect.
The suspect reportedly failed to show any documents to possess and carry a firearm.
Yiju was immediately brought to the police headquarters where he was detained.
The suspect is facing charges for illegal possession of firearm.
