The Scorpions leaned on their deadly shooting and suffocating defense to dismantle Guang Ming and add another title to the school’s successful basketball program.

MJ Joson put up a tournament-long brilliance to claim the Most Valuable Player award while it was Franz Diaz who stood out as the best player during the finale after scattering an all-around effort of 15 points, four rebounds, and four assists.

The victory served as a fitting preparation for the Scorpion’s title defense in the upcoming sixth season of University and Colleges Athletics League this month.

Expressing its elation over the team’s win, CEU also reminded its players that dedication, hard work, resilience, and teamwork are required to sustain the team’s winning culture in the collegiate scene.
