This possible agreement between the two provinces was discussed when Bohol Gov. Erico Aristotle Aumentado paid a courtesy visit to Cebu Gov. Gwen Garcia on Tuesday, January 16.
The governors of the two neighboring provinces also discussed the newly enacted Public-Private Partnership Code of the Philippines.
During the meeting, Garcia expressed willingness to explore possible areas of cooperation with Bohol, especially tourism management.
One of the projects that the province of Cebu is willing to undertake should a sisterhood agreement be forged is the putting up of a tourist rest area in Bohol.
Aumentado was in Cebu to preside over the advisory meeting of the Regional Development Council (RDC).
He was accompanied by National Economic and Development Authority-Central Visayas Director Jennifer Britaña during the visit at Cebu Capitol.
