Teenage girl falls in Talisay City drug sting

BACOLOD CITY â€“ Police arrested a 17-year-old girl in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Zone 6, Talisay City, Negros Occidental on Sunday, January 14.

Police Capt. Abegael Donasco, deputy chief of the Talisay City Police Station, said the suspect yielded five grams of suspected shabu worth P32,500.

Donasco said they have monitored the minor for months following revelations from previously arrested drug suspects and information from the community about her activities.

He said that the minor was influenced by peers to engage in drug peddling.

Donasco said the minor started engaging in the illegal drugs trade last year.

Recovered from her were the P500 marked money and P250.

Meanwhile, an 18-year-old boy was arrested in Barangay Balintawak, Escalante City, Negros Occidental for possession of one gram of suspected shabu worth P6,800 on January 10.
