Man yields P7-M shabu in Sampaloc, Manila

Police confiscated a total of P7,140,000 worth of shabu from a 25-year-old man during a buy-bust operation in Sampaloc, Manila on Monday evening, Jan. 15.

The Manila Police District (MPD) identified the suspect as Jason Danguecan, a resident of Barangay Silangan, San Mateo, Rizal.

Police said the suspect was arrested in Padre Campa Street in Sampaloc at 7:16 p.m. after selling the alleged shabu to a poseur buyer.

According to the police report, the suspect was carrying a yellow paper bag containing two transparent plastic sachets of alleged shabu with an estimated weight of one kilo and 50 grams.

The MPD said the confiscated drugs were submitted to the MPD-Forensic Unit for examination and custody.


Meanwhile, the arrested suspect is facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

He is temporarily detained at the MPD- Drug Enforcement Unit.
