Indian bizman shot in Sagay City

BACOLOD CITY â€“ An Indian businessman was shot and wounded by two gunmen in Barangay Poblacion 1, Sagay City, Negros Occidental on Friday, January 12.

Police withheld the name of the 44-year-old victim.

Police Lt. Hannah Banquil, deputy chief of the Sagay City Police Station, said the victim was about to arrive home on board a motorcycle when one of the two suspects hiding near is apartment rushed towards and fired at him.

He was wounded in the leg and taken to the Bacolod Queen of Mercy Hospital here.

Police have yet to determine the motive of the incident but the victim was also wounded in a shooting incident in 2022.
