Livestock raiser shot dead in Ilocos Sur

A 22-year-old livestock raiser was shot dead near her farm in Barangay San Mariano, Bantay, Ilocos Sur on Monday, January 15.

Police Major Pol Arreola, Bantay police station officer-in-charge, identified the victim as Berna Shiela D. Paac.

Arreola said they received a call at about 10:15 a.m. on Monday from the victim’s relative informing them that an unidentified person shot the victim several times.

She sustained multiple bullet gunshot wounds in the body and died upon reaching the hospital.

Responding lawmen recovered one slug and three empty shells for a caliber .45 pistol in the crime scene.

Police are conducting follow-up investigation.
