1 dead, 1 hurt at a birthday party shooting in Pasay City
One died while another was injured during a shooting incident at a birthday party Monday night, Jan. 15, in Pasay City.
Pasay City police chief Col. Mario Mayames, in a report to the Southern Police District (SPD), identified the fatality as Ron-ron Uy, “alias Badboy,” 36, of Decena St., Barangay 94, Pasay City.

Mayames said Uy suffered 10 gunshot wounds in the different parts of the body and was pronounced dead on arrival at the Pasay City General Hospital.
He said Uy’s companion, identified as Jayson Ortez,”alias Atong,” 39, and a resident of Tuazon Mejia Compound, Las Piñas City, was still being treated at the same hospital due to a gunshot wound on the left shoulder.
The city police chief said the incident happened at around 7:45 p.m. in front of a house on Decena St., Pasay City.
Mayames said prior to the shooting incident, the victim and his companions were having a drinking session when two armed men arrived and shot Uy several times.
He said the third unidentified suspect also shot the victim.
The city police chief said the suspects left casually after shooting the victim.
Mayames said based on their initial investigation, the motive for the killing could be drug-related case as Uy was allegedly a drug peddler.
He said a follow-up operation is still being conducted for the arrest of the suspects.
