CAVITE – De La Salle University-Dasmariñas Senior High School (DLSU-D SHS) announced its diversified electives this semester, including a class on Taylor Swift.

“Dive into the enchanting world of Taylor Swift and explore the musical artistry that has captured hearts worldwide. This elective is your backstage pass to the magic behind the melodies,” the academic institution announced on its Facebook page on Friday, Jan. 12.
On Jan. 11, the University of the Philippines announced the introduction of its elective course dedicated to the study of the American singer-songwriter within its Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Media Arts and Studies program.
Several international universities have also provided courses on the Grammy Awards-winning music artist, including New York University, Stanford University, and Harvard University.
Aside from the Taylor Swift class, DLSU-D SHS will also be offering electives on other eclectic topics, including SpongeBob SquarePants, Korean drama and pop culture, biking, and “Cattitude,” described as channeling one’s “inner cat as you navigate life's challenges with the cool confidence and adaptability of our feline friends.”
DLSU-D SHS has also previously offered electives about Star Wars, Harry Potter, and anime.
According to the academic institution’s website, Creative Electives are among the special features of its curriculum, being an “inclusive, outcome-based and skills-based selection of courses which allow students to choose their electives based on their interests and preference.”
