Guns, bullets, illegal drugs seized in Bulacan


 

An estimated P246,880 worth of illegal drugs was seized during a series of anti-criminality operations conducted by the Bulacan police on Jan. 13 and 14 while six drug suspects, a wanted person, and a man with a cache of firearms were arrested.

In reports submitted to Col Relly B. Arnedo, Bulacan police director, the drug sting operation conducted by the Plaridel police took place in Brgy. Banga 2nd wherein two drug suspects were arrested. Five sachets of suspected shabu with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of about P238,000 along with marked money, were confiscated. 

Similarly, the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Meycauayan and Hagonoy conducted separate drug buy-bust operations. A total of nine sachets of suspected shabu with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of P8,880 were confiscated. Four drug suspects were arrested.

The arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit (PFU) for examination, while criminal complaints for violations of R.A. 9165 against the suspects have been prepared for filing in court.

A 54-year-old resident of Gulod 1, Brgy. San Jose Patag, Sta. Maria was arrested in a search warrant operation implemented by the operatives of Sta. Maria Police Station together with the Bulacan 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company.

Recovered were one caliber.38 revolver without trademark with serial number 302745; three ammunition for caliber .38 revolver; three ammunition for caliber .45; one magazine for 9 mm pistol; one gun case for 9 mm Taurus Pistol bearing PT092151CAAB color black; one leg holster color black; one Squires Bingham air rifle with serial number 43015; one CO2 tank; and one plastic bottle containing air rifle pellets. The procedure was done in an orderly manner, as witnessed by barangay officials.

Meanwhile, a manhunt operation conducted by the tracker team of Marilao resulted in the arrest of one wanted person for violation of R.A. 9165 at Saog, Marilao under a warrant of arrest issued by RTC, Br. 76 Malolos, Bulacan, dated October 20, 2023.
