A Bishop Baylon urged the faithful in his diocese to examine carefully all information regarding the signature campaign in support of Charter Change and to never accept any financial or material support in exchange for their signatures.

“Changes in the Constitution must always be made for the common good. It should never affect any of our rights and freedom,” said Bishop Baylon.

The Sangguniang Laiko ng Pilipinas earlier reminded the public of the sacredness of their votes and their signatures which must be protected and safeguarded at all times.

Aside from Bishop Baylon, Dipolog Bishop Severo Caermare, Taytay Palawan Bishop Broderick Pabillo and Caritas Philippines president Kidapawan Bishop Jose Colin Bagaforo have likewise called on the faithful to study carefully the need for a Charter Change before agreeing to sign the People’s Initiative campaign.
