Avida Land Corp., Ayala Land's rising middle-class residential brand, recently revealed "In Her Future Memories," the largest outdoor mural in the south, emerging victorious in the South Park District Mural Competition.

In a statement, the property developer expressed its commitment and dedication to supporting the arts, particularly local Filipino artists, believing in the power of art to inspire, connect, and spark conversations. "In Her Future Memories" embodies this spirit, as Avida Land champions local artists and elevates spaces with Filipino artistry, a dedication that will continue to strengthen for years to come.

The mural, standing 20 meters above the ground and measuring 15 x 30 meters, was designed and created by Jhocel “Anthony Marahuyo” Malicsi and his team of 13 visual artists.

The team included Rheydene Luca Ortega, Rhealhet Luca Ortega, Laurence Sebolino Gutierrez, Ma. Marahuyo Studio receives their prize money after winning the Avida South Park Mural Design Competition.

Painted on an exterior wall of the South Park Center in Muntinlupa City using paints provided by Davies Paints, the mural adheres to the competition’s theme of “Part City, Part Nature, Pure South.” It features a female cyborg merging with tropical flowers against a background of a futuristic city skyline, seamlessly combining technology and nature.

“Avida has always been an advocate of local arts and culture. We are excited to share how public art shapes cities by making them more beautiful and vibrant – by telling stories and by bringing nature to the city,” Avida Brand and Project Marketing Head Anne Baylon-Jara said. “This marriage of nature and city is what development is all about. The mural, much like the beautiful mural out there, much like South Park District, represents the balance of industry and aesthetics.”

She added, “These talented artists have matched their hard work and dedication with an equal sense of passion and beauty that has made something truly magnificent and significant. As we continue to grow the community here of Avida and South Park District, we want this beautiful mural to be a reminder of what the development stands for. It is proof that the city that works is a city that has a soul. We can combine city and nature and make something beautiful and purely south.”

Located in Alabang, South Park District is a 6.6-hectare master-planned community that encompasses the Avida Towers Ardane and Avida Towers Altura, the sprawling Central Park, the South Park Center mall, and the South Park Corporate Center.
