15 wanted persons caught in Caraga

BUTUAN CITY – Police nabbed 15 wanted persons in the Caraga region on January 13.

Eight of them were most wanted persons, including the No. 4 MWP in Caraga.

The Police Regional Office 13-Regional Operations Division (ROD) said the Agusan del Norte Police Provincial Office (PPO) arrested five MWPs, followed by the Surigao del Norte PPO with four, Agusan del Sur PPO with two, and the Butuan City Police Office, Surigao del Sur PPO, Dinagat Islands PPO, and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG)-13 with one each.

PRO-13 chief Police Regional Office-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. John Kirby Kraft commended field units for apprehending these fugitives.

Arresting them ensures that no one is above the law and anyone shall be held accountable for the commission of crimes, Kraft added.

Meanwhile, the PRO-13 earned a 91 percent rating in a clients’ satisfaction survey conducted by the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA).

MinDA said 89.2 percent of respondents said they are satisfied with the PRO-13’s performance on security and safety and 88.8 percent said they trust and 87.6 percent respect the PRO-13.

The Agusan del Sur PPO obtained the highest rating on police assistance, respect metric, trust metric, and security metric while the Dinagat Islands PPO was No. 1 in hotline awareness and safety metrics.

The survey was conducted by MinDA from December 15 to 27 involving 1,142 respondents in Caraga.
