Woman nabbed for drug peddling anew

BACOLOD CITY â€“ A woman has been arrested for drug pushing anew in Purok Kabugwason, Barangay Mansilingan here.

Police identified the suspect as Marecel Mendoza, 40, of Barangay Mansilingan.

Seized from Mendoza on Friday, January 12, was 33 grams of suspected shabu worth P224,400; 15 sachets of suspected shabu, the P500 marked money, an improvised glass tooter, a digital weighing scale, and P450.

Police Capt. Andy Ofalia, head of Police Station 7, said the suspect was monitored again after they learned that she returned to the illegal drugs trade.

Ofalia said Mendoza was released from jail in September last year after serving her sentence.

Drug charges have been filed against the suspect, who was apprehended for a drug offense for the fourth time.
