Septuagenarian pushed to death off public market in Vigan City

VIGAN CITY, Ilocos Sur â€“ A male septuagenarian died on the spot after he was allegedly pushed off by a mentally depressed man on the second floor of the public market here on Saturday, January 13.

Police identified the victim as Rosario Rabang Regua, 74, of Barangay Pantay Fatima, Vigan City.

Investigation said the victim and the suspect, Angelo Garcia Pido, 22, of Barangay Tay-ac, Bantay, Ilocos Sur, were having a conversation on the second floor of the Vigan City Public Market.

Moments later, the suspect suddenly carried and pushed the victim who fell to the ground floor. 

Regua sustained serious injuries and died on the spot.

The suspect, who is suffering from mental depression, is under the custody of the police.
