PAGASA records 'coldest' temperature in Metro Manila for 2024 at 20.2°C


The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) recorded a temperature of 20.2°C in Science Garden, Quezon City at 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 14 --- marking it the "coldest" day so far in Metro Manila.

Based on PAGASA's monitoring, today's record was the lowest temperature the National Capital Region (NCR) experienced since the first day of 2024. 

PAGASA said colder temperatures will persist in Metro Manila and Baguio City where a temperature of 12.8°C was also recorded on Jan. 14.

Moreover, Tanay, Rizal has recorded  temperature of 18.6°C while a temperature of 19.8°C was experienced in Abucay, Bataan.
