BACOLOD CITY – Suspected shabu worth P1.4 million and a firearm were seized from a couple in a buy-bust operation in Purok Magnolia, Barangay 7 here on Sunday, January 14.

Police identified the suspects as Rhodora Madrileño and her live-in partner Romel Alfar, a cargo driver.
Police Capt. Joven Mogato, head of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU), said the suspects yielded 206 grams of suspected shabu worth P1.4 million, P50,000 marked money, P300, and a 9mm pistol with a magazine loaded with five bullets owned by Alfar.
Mogato said the couple had been monitored for more than two months.
Drug charges are being readied against the suspects and an additional case for illegal possession of firearm and ammunition will be filed against Alfar.
