Marcos names Aliño as new SBMA administrator

President Marcos has named business leader Eduardo Aliño as the new administrator of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) following the resignation of Jonathan Tan.

Marcos swore in Aliño in Malacañan on Friday, Jan. 12.
Aliño is the chairman of the Subic Bay Yacht Club, as well as president and chairman of the S.T.A.R. Group of Companies.
He is also the president and chairman of Subic Bay Freeport Grain Terminal Services, Inc. and Mega Equipment International Corp., among other posts.
Aliño replaced Tan, who resigned from his post on Friday.
Tan recently took his oath as a new undersecretary at the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) before President Marcos in Malacañan also on Friday.
