Police Col. Richard V. Caballero, Nueva Ecija police chief, identified the suspects as Mae, 34, and Almario Yabut Jr., 28.

Mae was apprehended at the Cabanatuan police station Warrant and National Police Clearance Section after she was found to have a warrant for frustrated homicide issued by a Quezon City Regional Trial Court.  The court recommended no bail for her release.

Yabut, of Barangay Panabingan, San Antonio, was nabbed for violating Republic Act 11332 or the Mandatory Reporting of Notifiable Diseases and Health Events of Public Health Concern Act with a P3,000 bail.

The suspects said they were unaware of the warrants against them.

Caballero said their arrest only shows that the e-Projects of the Philippine National Police are effective. “This only shows how effective the e-Projects of the PNP are. Those individuals with criminal records around the country could easily be traced using the system.”
