Caloocan City Mayor Dale Gonzalo "Along" Malapitan spearheaded the inauguration and blessing of the new fire truck and fire fighting equipment acquired by Barangay 132 on Wednesday, Jan. 10.

Malapitan commended the local officials of Barangay 132 for prioritizing the safety of their constituents during emergencies.
I'm glad that the officials of Barangay 132 prioritized the project addressing the needs of Batang Kankaloo during disasters. It reflects my long-standing advocacy for better ways to address their needs),” Malapitan said.

He also expressed his commitment to having modern firefighting equipment in every barangay.
The city government is actively increasing emergency vehicles and response teams to address the growing population. Our aspiration is for every barangay in Caloocan, like Barangay 132, to have fire trucks and other disaster equipment for swift response),” he said.

The mayor also revealed his plans to collaborate with the local Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and Caloocan Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) to conduct training for volunteers and personnel.
As part of the assistance from the city government, we will also coordinate with the BFP and CDRRMO to conduct training on the proper use of your new equipment. Good tools become meaningless if users lack the necessary knowledge),” he explained.
The initiative aims to optimize the use of the barangay's new fire truck and equipment.

The ceremony was joined by Barangay Chairman Reynante Mariano and District 1 Representative Oca Malapitan.
